Magnetic Field Therapy: Pros & Cons

Ken Wheeler mentioned the work of Rawls and Davis on the effect of magnetic fields in living organisms. Their book, The Magnetic Blueprint of Life, is available on archive.org

I read some of their findings and searched for a device in production that would do something similar. I found that there is a treatment called transcranial magnetic stimulation. Fisher Wallace laboratories cares a residential model, the Fisher Wallace Stimulator for ~$700

However, I was unable to verify with direction of the magnetic field it charges your cranium with, as Rawls & Davis are very explicit that the south pole magnetic field is actually harmful. (Page 98)

I also found a story that is a warning of using TCM without knowing the details and potential consequences, and the negative psychological effects one candidate experienced.

Rawls & Davis offer to put you in contact with the manufacturer of the magnets used in their studies (Page 96) The Rex Research Institute has an address on this website: Walter Rawls
ARD Research Lab
PO BOX 655
Green Cove Springs, Florida 32043

A little more research turned up this letter from the FDA telling him to stop marketing his products without FDA approval.

In their book, The Magnetic Blueprint of Life, they emphasize the importance of having negatively charged ions in your body to keep you grounded, and the greatly increased dangers of living in areas with high pollution and magnetic waves that charge the air with positive ions.

This line of discussion led me to look into dielectric fields and capacitance.

I found the video on Dielectric Materials at the 21:30 mark a useful visualization / explanation of how an outside electric / magnetic field will “charge” a non magnetic medium (i.e. ceramics in a capacitor, or a water infused living organism. And this course transcript goes into a little more detail: Capacitors & Dielectrics)
