Lori Gardi’s Youtube Channel Fractal Woman is my current favorite source of solid, well reasoned and accessible critique of the current kerfuffle of definitions and obfuscation of fiat physics. I found Lori’s work as I was trying to digest Ken Wheeler’s monologues from Theoria Apophasis. Her series on MUA (Modified Unit Analysis) and discovery that the popular form of the equation for Plancke’s Constant eliminated the time cycle unit from the calculation is an “aha” moment.
Ken Wheeler introduced me to the concept of “incommeasurability”. I found his youtube channel: Theoria Apophasis from a comment on a reddit forum discussion about John Vervake’s “Awakening from the meaning crisis” (most likely on a Jordan Peterson subreddit). As transformative as the concepts Ken Wheeler presents, and stunningly simplex and beautiful demonstrations of the Ferrocell, his teaching style is “effortful” to understand. I spent well over 48 hours of listening to his monologues before I started to gain comprehension. My pet peeve is that his channel has thousands of videos, but no playlists for the variety of topics and lectures he gives. I found Fractal Woman’s channel from her attempt to clarify Ken Wheeler’s “word salads” and she is a breath of fresh air. I also love the contrast between Fractal Woman’s clean computer science “show the work” style and her foray into actual engagement with the scientific literature and peer reviewed papers.
However, I owe ken Wheeler his due, he gave me the concepts that led me to find answers I’ve been asking for years. One day I may do a synthesis of his most succinct lectures, for now my youtube playlist: Most Useful Theoria Videos Is my shortlist of recommended content.
